UNLOCKING WOMEN'S POTENTIAL

TO BUILD STRONGER, MORE EQUITABLE AND RESILIENT SOCIETIES

WOMEN ARE LEADERS IN THEIR COMMUNITIES

They are drivers of prosperity as entrepreneurs, earners, caregivers, mothers and educators. Yet many face persistent and even increasing gender inequalities, prejudice and legal barriers. This denial of women’s rights and social contributions is often accompanied by lack of access to the knowledge, skills and resources women need to improve their lives and livelihoods.

In addition, any gap in essential services – from clean water, sanitation and nutrition to quality education and healthcare – places a disproportionate burden on women, locking them in a constant struggle to meet their families’ and their own basic needs.

Interventions that improve essential services, advance women’s rights, expand access to learning and resources, and foster their agency can transform both their lives and their communities.
