Mighty Ally builds non-profit brands to maximise their funding and advance social justice. Itself a non-profit B Corp, Mighty Ally has guided more than 200 non-profit clients fighting poverty and injustice in 35 countries. We’re funding Mighty Ally to support some of our partner organisations to align and amplify their brands “from the inside out.”

CHALLENGE

The development landscape is so crowded that non-profit organisations often go unseen, unheard, and underfunded, even when they run impactful programmes. In fact, only one in 1,000 non-profits grow beyond a small business. Many lack tight messaging, compelling storytelling, sharp visuals, and cohesive communications.

ACTION

Mighty Ally is guiding some of our partner organisations through its Four A’s brand framework. Their inside-out framework includes theory of change (ambition), positioning strategy (approach), marketing communications (amplify), and strategic planning (align). Outcomes are non-profits using a louder, sharper voice to reach new audiences and spread big ideas. And operating with more clarity and confidence. Which ultimately leads to maximised funding.

IMPACT

In the next 10 years Mighty Ally wants to build 5,000 non-profit brands — 50 reaching $50M in size — that directly advance social justice for 500,000,000 people. Its impact to date includes:
