Crea
Crea assists female entrepreneurs from marginalised backgrounds in Mexico with an innovative participatory business development program. Founded in 2008 by Leticia M. Jáuregui Casanueva, a Latin America Finalist of the Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards 2009. Our funding helped Crea to open new training centres in Zacatecas, Coahuila, Yucatán and Chiapas and train over 7,700 women.
CHALLENGE

ACTION
Crea’s business development programme provides women in rural, urban, and semi-urban areas with management skills and entrepreneurial attitudes, coaching, and access to a support network of female entrepreneurs.
Participants are enrolled in a 60-hour training course over 17 weeks with the aim strengthening their business models, improving both production and distribution, and reaching larger markets.
