Natural Resources Management
Natural resources are essential for our health and survival. The wellbeing of humanity depends on how societies use and care for water, land and forests, energy, minerals, biomass and fossil fuels. Achieving sustainable development and livelihoods for current and future generations depends upon the responsible management of natural resources. When well-managed these have great potential to contribute to social and economic development, bringing wealth and improved equity to countries and communities, sometimes in very remote and poor areas. We work with communities significantly affected by environmental degradation, including soil erosion and rangeland depletion, empowering them to make decisions that will improve their livelihoods through a more equitable and sustainable relationship with their natural resources.
